ABOUT THE ARTIST

 

Ipek Buse Koztepe is a London based independent illustrator focusing on a combination of art, fashion and poetry. Heavily inspired by popular culture, media and celebrity. Intrigued by millennial behaviours, feminism and celebrity culture. Driven by freedom and creativity to produce mixed media experimental pieces. Educated in the prestigious University of the Arts London where she had the opportunity to acquire from many talented tutors wrought with passion and knowledge. Fashion is a niche area in which she explores and illustrates particularly in contemporary women’s fashion and femininity. Ipek’s envisioned to create beautiful and timeless ranges of artwork that would look equally good at home in a frame as it would on the window sill. A range of numbered limited-edition art prints can also be found in my online shop as well as collectable household objects. Additionally, she creates clothes for artists who are free-spirited, bold and artsy. Ipek’s artwork can be brought through various merchandise ranging from stationary to decorative collectables.

“From a young age, I knew that art was my passion. I was always excited about the beautiful things in life and inspired by the many artists within the entertainment industry. My curiosity of self-expression and love of art led me to study Fashion Illustration at London College of Fashion exploring topics of psychology, politics, media, surrealism, animation etc. In my free time I like to go to fashion, art and beauty events such as London Fashion Week as well as visiting exhibitions, galleries and artistic environments which keeps me inspired continuously.”
